The Executive Committee is responsible for running the club on a day to day basis. It consists of a Chairperson, a Treasurer, Secretary, a number of elected members, Club Captains, Welfare Officer and a Friends of Pentaqua representative.  Committee meetings are held at Lincoln Christ's Hospital School on a 4 to 6 weekly basis.  Every year in December the club holds an Annual General Meeting ( AGM) where we review the current state of the club and elect members to stand on the Committee for the following year. This event is usually held at Lincoln Christ's Hospital School and is open to all club members. All are welcome to be nominated for positions on the management committee. 

The following is a brief description of each of the roles on the committee. 


The Chairperson's main duties are to manage the decision making process and to host the regular committee meetings.  They may also act as a spokesman for the club and as arbitrator in any disagreements that may arise. 

Vice Chairperson

The vice chairperson may be called upon to chair meetings in the absence of the chairperson. 


The Treasurer is responsible for keeping track of the club's finances and ensuring we have sufficient funds for the future running of the club. 


The secretary is responsible for the club’s administration, taking minutes at the committee meetings and is the main point of communication for the club, including for the ASA and other outside bodies. 

Senior Team Captains

These members represent the views of the main squads at the monthly meetings and bring up any points requested by their swimmers. 

Elected Members

These members are elected onto the committee at the Annual General Meeting. They attend the monthly meetings and they have voting rights. 

Co-opted Members

These members can be elected onto the committee at the Annual General Meeting or at any other time. We can have up to 3 co-opted members at any time. They may attend the committee meetings but they do not have voting rights. 

Occasionally subcommittees are formed from the current committee members and anyone else with a required specialist knowledge, to focus on specific areas such as finance, sponsorship or the annual open meet.
